As a customer-owned bank, our members play a key role in electing directors who guide BankVic’s future. That means you have a say in who helps guide the future of your bank.
This September, BankVic will hold a Director Election to fill vacancies on our Board.
Voting opens on 8 September 2026, and I encourage all eligible members to take part.
You will receive information from our independent Returning Officer, CorpVote Pty Ltd, including instructions on how to vote and statements from each candidate.
Why your vote matters
Voting in the Director Election is one of the most important ways you can have your say as a BankVic member. The directors elected by members play an important role in guiding BankVic’s long-term direction and overseeing the decisions that help keep your bank strong, sustainable and focused on the people and communities we serve.
While members elect directors, every candidate must first meet the eligibility requirements set out in BankVic’s Constitution and complete a Fit and Proper assessment in line with APRA prudential standards. This considers areas including their integrity, competence, experience and character. The Board also maintains a Skills Matrix to support succession planning and ensure it has the right mix of skills and experience to oversee a modern and highly regulated financial institution.
Being a BankVic director carries significant responsibility. Directors must act in the best interests of the bank and fulfil important obligations across areas including risk, financial resilience, compliance and strategy.
That’s why your choice matters.
Thank you for your continued trust and support, and I encourage you to participate in this year’s Director Election.
Yours sincerely,
Faith Page
