BankVic is deeply saddened with the passing of Chief Superintendent (ret’d) Peter Ryan APM OAM on the 12th August 2021. Peter was a founding BankVic member (then known as the Police Credit Co-Operative) and was a significant figure in BankVic’s history.
Peter served as a Director on the BankVic Board from 1974 to 1983, and was instrumental along with Bryan Kelly in establishing Victoria Police Legacy (VPL) in 1980. Peter was a life member of VPL and served as VPL’s inaugural Secretary in 1980 and as President from 1985 to 1992.
Our deepest condolences are extended to his beloved wife Jenny, children Andrew, Chris, Theresa, Bernard, Moira and Matthew, stepchildren Julieanne, Katrina,and Darren (dec), grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
